NISSAN GT-R VS ACURA NSX: THE ULTIMATE JDM BATTLE âš”

When it comes to Japanese Supercars, the Best One to ever come out from Japan has to be the Lexus LFA but in 2021, things are different the LFA is no more and the only Supercars that are on sale right from Japan are the Nissan GTR and Acura NSX, there is the Mitsouka Orochi as well, which as claimed by some is a supercar, we will discuss it in some future post but for now, just know that it’s not a supercar, it can be called a sportscar at best.

Now both the GT-R and the NSX pack serious power under the hood and have performance levels to compete with the Supercar segment leaders but what would happen if they had to compete with each other, a battle between two Japanese legends??

Which Japanese car would be ruling the hearts and the minds of the enthusiasts, one has the legacy of best the all-wheel-drive sportscar Japan has ever created the Skyline GTR’s and the other follows the legacy of a car that went on to defeat the best V8 Ferrari’s of its time at a fraction of the price the Acura NSX.

At the moment the GTR can be called a Car that has become Old and would certainly become obsolete if it isn’t updated on time, the Acura NSX on the other is not so old but suffers from quality issues, and that is due to the Cheap plastics and other things that have been used in making the car.

I don’t know why Honda used cheap quality materials and plastics on a car that is going to be the successor of the greatest car Honda has ever made, that’s like ruining their own legacy, it’s not good for the brand, they could have done cost-cutting on any of their models and everyone would have ignored it but not the NSX honda, not the NSX…..

Designs of both the GT-R and the NSX are nothing less than stunning, where the GT-R has been made to look a bit timeless, the NSX has been designed taking a more modern approach so that it appeals to the youth more.

Talking about the engine the GT-R has a 3.8 Litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces about 565 Horsepower, the NSX on the other hand has a 3.0-liter Twin-turbocharged v6 engine as well, the only difference is that the NSX’s engine is also coupled with an electric motor that adds a significant amount of horsepower and torque to the output that’s produced by the engine, so the NSX produces 573 horsepower in total.

The difference in specs isn’t much, in fact, it shows how much the Japanese love the V6 engine and have been successful in making the best out of it.

Even in terms of top speed, there isn’t a huge difference. In the acceleration part, the NSX is quicker than the GT-R because of its electric motors. Only when it comes to driving you can feel the actual difference between driving a car with forced induction vs driving a hybrid supercar.

Now, both these cars are legends, folks who are confused between them should just take a test drive and they will get the answer.

If we talk about, how they can be better? So, the GT-R is in urgent need of an update, we get it, that it’s the GODZILLA, but the Godzilla is not only old, it’s obsolete, the NSX, well it needs a quality upgrade and a nicer stock exhaust, rest is awesome in my opinion.

So, everyone that will be all for this time, I trust you liked this one, if you did then do share it with your friends and do consider subscribing to Motordrift for more such content in the future.

Till then

Ciao
