Updated: Nov 21, 2020

Husqvarna, a brand that you might have probably never even heard of before, even I didn’t know about a Month before but here we are with the company officially entering the Indian market with 2 of their entry-level Motorcycles.

But first a bit of backstory for you my friend: -

It all started so simply, a small combustion engine in a bicycle frame one small but important step soon Husqvarna dominated early street races but bike sales were still slow thanks to the global depression then war broke out and Motorcycle production had almost stopped completely after the war it seems changed, suddenly lightweight small engine bikes were popular, Iconic silverpilen, this bike was the spark for off-road motorcycling

Then came this guy, Torsten Holman he won almost every race back then so Husqvarna replicated his factory race bike and started selling them, this was the very first series-production motocross bike.

Torsten and this Husky went over to race in America and sparked a cultural revolution, handcrafted detail and high-quality components are still synonymous with Husqvarna motorcycles.

This is a fire that was first lit through legendary battles in arenas and on racetracks around the world the excitement born from almost a century of top-level competition which now lives on in the dynamic riding experiences that are a distinct range of Motorcycles open up for riders simple yet progressive means smart yet simple design solutions which keep us looking ahead for different trails to blaze more territories to explore and exciting new motorcycles to bring to life with more legendary stories yet to be told lies and waits beyond the horizon.

Let’s start with their 1st product the Vitpilen 250: -

The all-new Husqvarna Vitpilen 250, Vitpilen 250 has a sporty design, clip-on handlebars, and front lean riding position delivering a dynamic and fun-filled riding experience. It is a 250-cc machine with a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 4-stroke engine and an understated, minimalist, and elegant Scandinavian design. It reacts to the smallest response and moves at the lightest touch giving you an all-encompassing and sensory riding experience. The Husqvarna motorcycles are built for progressive urban riders who have an evolved taste & appreciation of style but do not want to compromise on performance.

And then the 2nd Product the Svartpilen 250: -

The Svartpilen 250 has a rugged design, upright stance, and comes with dual-purpose tires, and is capable of taking both on and off-road journeys. It is a 250-cc machine with a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 4-stroke engine and an understated, minimalist, and elegant Scandinavian design. Its lightweight bodywork intelligently allows for seamless movement while riding giving you a phenomenal experience on twisted and turbulent roads. The Husqvarna motorcycles are built for progressive urban riders who have an evolved taste & appreciation of style but do not want to compromise on performance.

See, Husqvarna is one of the oldest motorcycle brands in the world and has achieved iconic status for their high-performance machines and outstanding Swedish build and craftsmanship. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 & Vitpilen 250 have a unique, understated, and minimalist Scandinavian design & hence extremely differentiated from any other motorcycle in the premium motorcycles segment. They are crafted to deliver class-leading performance in a very aesthetic design. Their single-cylinder 4-stroke engine produces impressively punchy torque at the highest levels of smoothness. The compact chassis design, WP suspension, and premium quality components ensure agile & dynamic performance and handling in an urban environment. The Husqvarna motorcycles are built for progressive urban riders who have an evolved taste & appreciation of style but do not want to compromise on performance.

The journey, which began in 1903, has been more than just about building timeless motorcycles. It’s been a journey of building their legacy and taking their Swedish heritage forward. And now, the modern-day incarnations of the iconic 1955 ‘Silverpilen’, the all-new Vitpilen 250, and Svartpilen 250 are here to take on the Indian streets. But don’t just take their word for it, take a test ride and experience it for yourself at your nearest KTM-Husqvarna dealership.
